The Kremser Gebling vineyard (site) is one of the oldest in the Kremstal Valley. The soil consists of weathered, calcareous conglomerate, covered by loess deposits of varying thickness. In some places, roots more than 25 meters deep burrow into the loess terraces, northeast of the 1,000-year-old wine town on the Danube.

Tasting Notes from the Cellar Master

The best of loess: intense, radiant golden yellow, a wonderful wealth of aromas, lovely passion fruit, full ripe density with matching acidity, fine thyme with Asian fruit behind it – a great, powerful wine with impressive strength that lives up to its name. Great ageing potential!

Food Recommendation from the Cellar Master

Wonderful with Asian cuisine, mushroom dishes and food with rich sauces. Also an interesting companion to cream cheese, white-rind & blue cheese.

Sommelier bei der Weinverkostung
Pale “candy pink” to salmon colour; on the nose a fine play of fruit with cherries, berries and other fruity notes; on the palate hints of Zweigelt, with elegant, juicy acidity and subtle fruit sweetness creating a charming combination – lively, light-footed and spirited, clean and coquettish, of remarkable quality and well received. A great outdoor wine with the potential to become a favourite at summer barbecues.
