The Kremser Gebling vineyard (site) is one of the oldest in the Kremstal Valley. The soil consists of weathered, calcareous conglomerate, covered by loess deposits of varying thickness. In some places, roots more than 25 meters deep burrow into the loess terraces, northeast of the 1,000-year-old wine town on the Danube.

“A great wine is always a reflection of its soil!” The salty minerality blends elegantly with the inviting scent of white pepper. After a few minutes in a large glass, this Kremstal Riesling – at first smoky and herbal – releases the delicate fragrance of fully ripe fruit such as mirabelle plums and juicy vineyard peach. Great ageing potential.

Warm starters, seafood, grilled fish, fried chicken as well as Wiener Schnitzel and roast veal. Equally perfect with vegetarian & Asian dishes!

Pale “candy pink” to salmon colour; on the nose a fine play of fruit with cherries, berries and other fruity notes; on the palate hints of Zweigelt, with elegant, juicy acidity and subtle fruit sweetness creating a charming combination – lively, light-footed and spirited, clean and coquettish, of remarkable quality and well received. A great outdoor wine with the potential to become a favourite at summer barbecues.
