Ried Frechau Kremstal dac Reserve Grüner Veltliner

The Ried Kremser Frechau forms a west-east-running mountain ridge. The vineyards are situated on multi-tiered loess terraces, which can be up to 20 meters thick, and face southeast. This allows our vines to receive direct sunlight as soon as the sun rises.

Tasting Notes from the Cellar Master

A hint of tobacco on the nose, complemented by ripe pineapple and pears; on the palate it develops a lovely powerful spice, with walnut and honeydew melon on the finish. A velvety, fine-grained mouthfeel with refreshing piquancy. A great wine with great ageing potential.

Food Recommendation from the Cellar Master

Risotto with prawns and Parmesan as well as fine veal sweetbreads; also mushroom dishes, roast saddle of veal with Zöhrer walnut pesto, spicy dishes with wild herbs, pink-roasted meat with a rich sauce, and mature cheese.

Sommelier bei der Weinverkostung
Pale “candy pink” to salmon colour; on the nose a fine play of fruit with cherries, berries and other fruity notes; on the palate hints of Zweigelt, with elegant, juicy acidity and subtle fruit sweetness creating a charming combination – lively, light-footed and spirited, clean and coquettish, of remarkable quality and well received. A great outdoor wine with the potential to become a favourite at summer barbecues.
