The Ried Kremser Weinzierlberg is one of the oldest vineyards in the Kremstal Valley. The soil consists of granite and gneiss, covered by layers of loess of varying thickness. In some places, roots only 30 cm deep extend over the bedrock that extends right into the heart of the 1,000-year-old wine town of Krems an der Donau.
Noble golden yellow; on the nose, ripe, expressive peach fruit, very refreshing. The fine acid structure on the palate gives this white wine its balanced and elegant character. This harmonious wine has great potential and is marked by wonderful elegance, juicy apricot aromas and a long finish.
Pairs perfectly with Far Eastern dishes such as fish curry or tandoori chicken. An excellent match for traditional Austrian cooking, e.g. breaded dishes such as veal sweetbreads or fried chicken with potato and lamb’s lettuce salad. Also wonderful with Fegato alla Veneziana (calf’s liver) or Greek moussaka.
